This will be a new event for me. I have the honor of participating in this event this year and I’m so super excited. It’s going to be post-apocalyptic futuristic and I’m so looking forward to this. More information as links below! Mark your calendar puddins!
Just as Second Life is a home to so many people from all walks of life, Indie Teepee aims to be the roof under which these same people may discover, enjoy and appreciate the diversity and creativity that could only previously be experienced in the real world.
Indie Teepee brings people together through their love of song and art – breaking down barriers and providing a haven for music genres like indie, alternative, rock, electronic dance music and hip-hop. In 2016, we ventured to and did include into our home, live music performances, theatre acts, machinimas, original mesh designs, photography and a creative forum.
The Indie Teepee of 2017 dares Second Life residents to dream of and thrive in worlds that are possibly to come. While again welcoming live music performances, original mesh designs and the creative forum, Indie Teepee also looks forward to introducing fun, new attractions, such as performance art and social activities.
In this home, there are no strangers, just friends you haven’t met yet.
From July 21st until August 6th, Indie Teepee will host its third annual event, where it looks to introduce Second Life residents to three very distinctive post-apocalyptic futures – An underwater society inhabited and advanced by a never-discovered mutant species; A technology-centered city replete with abstract architecture and intelligent interfaces; and an arid utopia, breathing new life into a once-extinct humanity.
Indie Teepee 2017 will feature:
— Almost-daily DJ sets and live performances
— Art installations by Bryn Oh, Nodnol Jameson and CyanideSlushy
— Thematic theatre performances by Guerrilla Burlesque
— Creative Forum
— Fashion show

— And more to come…
…and will consist of:
— Landing point (providing teleport HUDs and gift bags for the public)
— 3 beautifully designed parcels, each representing one imagined future.
— 2 music stages
— Special set designs for theatre performances
— An amphitheatre for talks
— Photogenic spaces for creating memories
